Apprenticeships

Twice annually, we invite people to join us for a four year GI Bill and US Department of Labor accredited apprenticeship where you'll learn a valuable trade in Fabrication, Pipe, Electrical or Fitout. This paid training includes classroom and on-the-job learning, and will result in a journeyworker's license. There are a limited number of openings available for this program and we expect many to apply for this opportunity. So only those who show a desire to work hard, overcome challenges and move into leadership positions as they advance in their careers will be considered.

The apprentice positions come with full Austal benefits, including wage, health insurance, vacation and 401k. Plus, you'll be eligible for a raise every 90 days during the first two years and every six months thereafter.
