REPORTS TO: Treasurer
SUPERVISES: N/A
AUTHORITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for interpreting payment clauses, to include those clauses in highly complex multi-billion dollar contracts containing multiple contract types and multiple contract line items
- Responsible for the creation of weekly invoices to Customers in accordance with approved invoice formats
- Collects data and prepares supporting documentation for inclusion with invoice submittals
- Consistent and timely entry of customer invoices into the accounting system
- Enters, reviews, and monitors invoice progress through the Department of Defense accounting system, WAWF or other Customer required invoice systems
- Reconciles invoice data to source documentation, including labor, material and overhead
- Researches and resolves any customer related questions regarding invoices or credits
- Communicates directly with SUPSHIP personnel regarding funding and invoices
- Enters Customer payments into the accounting system
- Responsible for preparation of the quarterly reweights and revised billing price calculations in accordance with the approved billing system and in compliance with the contractual requirements of each program
- Supports audit requests from DCAA and external auditors, as needed
- Prepares and submits to Corporate monthly intercompany invoices
- Provides monthly reporting data to Financial Analysis team to support financial forecasting model
- Maintains written policy and procedures for area of responsibility
- Maintains compliance with Company policies and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE:
- 3-5 years Accounts Receivable and general accounting experience
- High School diploma or equivalent, required. Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Excellent communication skills combined with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with Government contracts a plus but not required
- Highly organized
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Working knowledge of an Enterprise Resource Planning system a plus
