    REPORTS TO:  

    Directly: Lead Crew Training Specialist IV

    Indirectly: ILS Manager

    SUPERVISES:  N/A

    AUTHORITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Responsible for providing support and assistance to Level II, III and IV Crew Training Instructors
    • Assist in development and QA of crew training curriculum, instructor guides, student guides and multi-media presentations
    • Assist in development of electronic presentations in PPT and audio-visual aids including classroom and shipboard videos
    • Assist in conduct of  classroom seminars and shipboard training to meet all contractual requirements
    • Responsible for technical assistance/research to Level II, III and IV Instructors
    • Responsible for interfacing with internal and external customers as required
    • Responsible for assistance in developing and maintaining Crew Training libraries/databases
    • Responsible for other Crew Training related activities as directed, including participation in internal training program
    • Successful applicant must be willing to provide assistance and cross-train to other areas within ILS as necessary

    QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE:

    • 3 years demonstrated instructor preforming Hardware / Software operator, user or maintainer instruction, OR
    • 3 years demonstrated instructor experience with Hardware / Software operator, user or maintainer background
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Experience interacting with internal and external customers.
    • High School diploma or equivalent required. Training/computer related studies/coursework is highly advantageous
    • Computer literate and highly proficient with Microsoft Office products.
    • Prior U.S. Navy, MSC or USCG training experience desired, but not required

    TOOLS:

    • MS Office, Audio/Video recording and editing equipment/software

    DIRECTION EXERCISED:

    • Will assist Level II and above Instructors in determining the editorial accuracy of all Crew Training deliverables

    DISCRETION EXERCISED:

    • Will provide Crew Training assistance and input to all members of the ILS Team

    LIAISES WITH:  Austal Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, US Navy, Military Sealift Command, Equipment Suppliers and ILS Support Contractors
