Job Description

REPORTS TO: Human Resources Manager

SUPERVISES: None

AUTHORITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and create time and attendance reports to ensure accuracy and proper documentation of employee work hours.

  • Reviews time and attendance reports, promptly notifying appropriate supervisor and/or HR Coordinator of any discrepancies or potential issues.

  • Reviews time and attendance reports alerting appropriate supervisor and/or HR Coordinator when an employee accrues a level of absenteeism requiring notification.

  • Reviews time and attendance reports to identify violations of the three day no call/no show policy, notifying the appropriate HR Coordinator as necessary.

  • Responsible for maintaining and distributing daily call-in log.

  • Initiate discussions with employees to address concerns related to time and attendance in a professional and timely manner.

  • Prepares reports for management as needed.

  • Investigates reported disputes or errors in time and attendance records and communicates findings to the appropriate supervisor and/or HR Coordinator for resolution.

  • Administers time and attendance activities necessary to develop and maintain positive employee morale.

  • Communicates with employees in person, by phone or e-mail, to answer questions, provide accurate information, and/or resolve problems related to time and attendance.

  • Supports other Human Resources company/employee activities as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE:

  • Understanding of time and attendance practices.

  • One year of directly related experience is required; degree in Human Resources preferred.

  • Strong to advanced computer proficiency and technical aptitude to utilize MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and timekeeping applications is required.

  • Proficient with HRIS data management and possess systems aptitude. Workday experience preferred.

  • Ability to analyze issues and suggest solutions.

  • Ability to collect and organize data for various projects.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Must maintain a high level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.

  • Must be willing and able to work day, night and/or weekend shifts.
