REPORTS TO: Business Applications Manager



  • Perform analysis, design, development, and testing activities in support of enterprise reporting, Business Intelligence, and data analytics solutions across a wide range of business and operational functional areas including but not limited to Financial Operations, Production Control, Operations, Engineering, Human Resources and Program/Project Management, Supply Chain.
  • Organizing data into a format that tells a story to answer business questions and leading with minimal supervision the presentation of that data to an executive/management level audience.
  • Providing expert level advice and educating stakeholders on the "correct" way to use and interpret data
  • Assist with the design, development, and deployment of data analytic tools to support long-term information delivery and data visualization needs.
  • Creation and ownership of Business Intelligence-related queries and calculations in support of enterprise-wide reporting and analytics
  • Serve as Business Intelligence technology/data advocate and serve as a liaison with other departments to ensure proper considerations are given to data governance and data management as new data and reporting needs are introduced across the enterprise
  • Develop and maintain analytic methodology documentation.
  • Will be working with sensitive/personal data and must be maintain confidentiality and security.


  • Experience with Reporting, Business Intelligence, Data Management, and Data Analytics using market-leading tools, including standard and ad-hoc reporting, dashboards and visualization tools with enterprise data
  • Requires solid understanding of company Business Systems and Data along with the visualization of information usage to leverage operational improvements and cost reductions
  • Experience working collaboratively with business users and senior-level management users to determine information needs and effective delivery methods
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills, and the ability to balance multiple tasks with high attention to details
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including experience writing procedures for a complex IT/engineering/technical environment, documenting complex technical solutions, and delivering technical presentations to diverse audiences
  • Hands-on experience supporting Financial Operations, Engineering, Production Control, Operations, Human Resources and Program/Project Management, Supply Chain.
  • Superior teamwork and interpersonal skills and the ability to work both in a team environment and independently
  • Knowledge and experience with Business Intelligence / Data Warehousing implementation methodologies and architectures
  • Experience designing and building extract, transformation, and load (ETL) processes to convert operational transactional data into dimensions and fact tables
  • Extensive experience with Oracle database design, SQL, PL/SQL and database query performance tuning
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new processes and technologies
  • Computer Science bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of related IT professional work experience preferred
