AUTHORITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for implementing, managing, and monitoring the functions within the accounting and payroll department, including accounting, budget, credit, insurance, tax, and treasury.
- Designs and coordinates a wide variety of accounting and statistical data and reports.
- Works closely with CFO and the senior leadership team, contributes to the development and implementation of the annual business plan, including revenue, expense and capital spending budgets.
- Works with external auditor to ensure policies and procedures are in place, maintained and met.
- Provides leadership in the development and ongoing evaluation of short- and long-term strategic financial objectives.
- Leads the company’s financial accounting, planning and forecasting processes to support continued compound annual revenue growth, focused on growth within segment of the business to effectively leverage this revenue growth for EBITDA expansion.
- Formulates and implements the company’s financial strategies, policies and programs, overseeing all finance-related activities including accounting and control, corporate finance, capital markets, cash management, budgeting, financial reporting, financial planning and analysis, compliance, risk management, and internal audit.
- Provides strong leadership to the company’s business/financial planning and analysis and budgeting processes, ensuring that those exercises produce aggressive yet realistic plans for the company as a whole and for individual departments within it.
- Ensures that all levels of the company are provided with accurate, timely and relevant financial reporting that is meaningful to running the business. Works with business unit heads to ensure that financial reporting is oriented to the specific decisions and issues faced by each.
- Proactively supports the company with financial information and analysis to enable and ensure quality decision-making. Develops and monitors operational metrics relating to the achievement of financial objectives.
- Oversees the company’s accounting and control function. Ensures that the company maintains adequate financial and non-financial controls and that it leverages modern technology solutions in the accumulation, analysis, interpretation and distribution of financial information.
- Takes the hands-on lead position in developing, implementing and maintaining a comprehensive financial management system for the company.
- Partnering with the equity sponsors, ensure that the company develops and maintains an optimal capital structure, minimizing its cost of capital while maintaining financial flexibility.
- Supports all capital markets activities including maintaining and managing relationships with banks, advisors and private and public institutional investors.
- Develops and implements a framework to actively manage the balance sheet and maximize return on invested capital.
- Oversees the company’s treasury function including working capital and cash management.
- Ensures that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE:
- An undergraduate degree in accounting, business, economics, or other relevant domain, ideally complemented by a Master of Business Administration with 10+ years of experience
- A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation, is required.
- Strong Government contracting experience required (CAS, FAR, DFAR)
- Superior communicator and constructive collaborator throughout the organization.

CORE COMPETENCIES
- Banking experience - has demonstrated leading a complex manufacturing operation through banking relationships as Chief Financial Officer or senior financial leader and has established a track record of success within that community.
- Operational financial competency - Has deep knowledge of the financial performance and reporting of complex multi-site manufacturing operations based on numerous cycles of learning through roles of increasing responsibility and complexity.
- Communication - Must be comfortable and proficient in both written and verbal communication. Must be willing and capable of effectively communicating in a high intensity, performance-based environment.
- Technical Financial Expertise - Must be a clear expert in the areas of financial accounting, treasury and finance. Must be clearly proficient in effectively dealing with lenders, auditors and financial regulators.
- Process Improvement - Must have a track record of driving significant improvement in complex operational and financial processes to yield a significant positive outcome.
- Leadership - Proven ability to articulate a clear vision and the strategies to achieve it. Has the competency and capability to attract high performance leaders to follow.
- Organizational Development - Has mastered all aspects of driving organizational development, including mentoring, recruiting, tip grading and process improvement. Will be expected to effectively demonstrate all aspects in this role.
