AUTHORITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conducts initial analyses of Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) processes to monitor, mitigate, and report on risk from third party relationships especially suppliers. This includes optimizing the TPRM efforts on:
- Supplier risk assessments, supplier audits, supplier onboarding, supplier document refresher/ review, supplier termination procedures, and compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements
- Monitoring and reporting on credit risk and other potential risks from key suppliers
- Providing periodic risk reports on key risks and mitigation strategies
- Promote the Supplier Governance Policy and Supplier Risk Framework to ensure supplier risk awareness and ongoing compliance for suppliers
- Provide analytical support to Sourcing and Procurement teams to ensure effective due diligence, risk reduction and monitoring
- Identify critical and high risk suppliers, make recommendations and advise on targeted risk reduction programs, and actions
- Implement an ongoing risk review and monitoring of all risk segments as appropriate
- Support internal and external audits and regulatory examinations of the TPRM processes and other SCM processes
- Provide recommendations to management as appropriate on existing strategies, operations review, oversight planning, and reporting
- Evaluate third parties and internal stakeholders to identify and remediate risks, document identified issues and track remediation efforts
- Facilitate TPRM process for both initial due diligence and ongoing evaluation of third party supplies and services
- Manage data collection, analysis, and planning work for key initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supplier management, supply chain sourcing management, or related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- 5+ years’ experience in one or more of the following areas: strategic sourcing, supplier management, supplier relationship management, internal audit, supplier risk management, or compliance
- Microsoft Office experience is required with proficiency in Excel
- Client centric focus on achieving goals and managing outcomes
- Ability to provide analytical support and specialized advice on third party risk management to SCM stakeholders
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience with internal and external audit firms preferred
- Ability to work with limited direction in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrates ability to multitask and to work collaboratively with other functional groups
- Ability to complete duties with discretion and confidentiality reflecting the sensitive nature of the work
- Excellent organizational skills, including attention to detail through process and project delivery
- Strong analytical, written/verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills
- ERP/MRP: IFS preferred; others like BAAN, SAP, JD Edwards, and Oracle are acceptable
- Experience with Dun & Bradstreet and/or Refinitiv World Check Risk Intelligence preferred
DIRECTION EXERCISED: Provides recommendations and advice to all supply chain employees with regard to TPRM.
DISCRETION EXERCISED: Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment. Exercises a wide degree of latitude and creativity when analyzing and assessing third party risk. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
LIAISES WITH: SCM Management, DCAA/SUPSHIP, Compliance Consultants, and Authorities. Collaborate across various functions in the supply chain such as Material Program Planning, Estimating, Business Development, Contracts, Programs, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, and Logistics.
TRAVEL: Domestic and international travel may be required
ADDITIONAL GUIDELINES:
- The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance may be required if deemed necessary in the scope of your position responsibilities.
- Candidates must meet the following employment eligibility guidelines to be considered for employment with Austal USA:
- 18 years of age or older.
- Able to provide proof of US Person Status
- No felony convictions of Theft/Deception or Violent crimes within seven years from disposition date
- No felony convictions of Drug crimes within three years from disposition date
